Repair cost

What moves it
Why two of the same job cost different amounts
These apply at the same time and in both directions. Which of them is true of your kitchen is what the on-site diagnostic settles.
-
Which of the three complaints
No heat, wrong heat and uneven heat are an element, a sensor and a fan. Only a measurement separates the middle one from calibration.
-
Single or double, and how high
A double oven at eye level in a tall cabinet is a longer job than a single under a counter, before anything is opened.
-
Steam and speed ovens
A water circuit or microwave components add parts a conventional oven does not have.
The work itself
What we actually do
The job behind the figure: what it involves, when a symptom points at it, and what we check first.
-
from $165 Oven element & sensor repair
An oven that does not reach temperature, overshoots it, or browns everything on one side. Which of those three it is decides whether this is an element, a sensor or the convection fan — and they are different figures.
- Bake, broil and convection elements
- Temperature sensor and its wiring
- Calibration where the oven is simply off

About Bosch oven repair cost
Three complaints, three prices
- Never gets hot: an element, a relay, or on gas the igniter — which fails by weakening rather than dying
- Gets hot but wrong: the temperature sensor, or calibration. These are far apart in price and only measurement tells them apart
- Hot but uneven: the convection fan more often than an element
The cheapest outcome
An oven that runs cool by the same amount at every temperature is often adjustable rather than broken, and many of these can be recalibrated. It is the first thing we check because it is the only one that costs nothing.
Where the published figures sit
Oven sensors are quoted nationally at roughly $100–$250 and heating elements at $150–$450, with door and lock work around $100–$250. A wall oven adds the time it takes to bring the appliance out of the cabinetry, which is real and which we plan for.

Questions about bosch oven repair cost
Everything browns on one side.
Usually the convection fan rather than an element. Bake a single tray of something cheap on the center shelf and photograph it — the pattern tells us a great deal.
It is exactly 25 degrees cool every time.
That is the calibration conversation, and it is the cheapest thing on this page.
The door locked after self-clean.
Let the cavity go completely cold first — several hours. Most release on their own. If it does not, it has its own code and its own modest repair.
