Two different complaints that sound the same
"It is not drying" is usually the condensation design meeting a plastic container, and it is not a repair. "Nothing is drying, including the glass" and "the dishes are still dirty" are heat, and heat on these machines lives in the heat pump — a combined assembly that circulates and heats in one unit.
Why scale matters more here
South Florida water is hard, and the manufacturer publishes a code specifically for scale building up in the heat pump. That is unusual and it is a gift: the machine tells you before the damage is done. Descaling is a maintenance figure. Replacing a heat pump that spent a year encrusted is not.

The plastics are wet. Is that this repair?
Almost certainly not, and we would rather say so before you book. These machines dry by condensation with no exposed element, which works on glass and steel and poorly on plastic. If the glassware is dry, the machine is fine.
What is the mineral drying system?
On the upper series there is a chamber of mineral beads that give off heat as they take on moisture, and a small fan that moves that air into the tub. It closes most of the plastics gap. When its fan or its heater goes, drying gets noticeably worse without anything else changing.
It shows a scale code. Is that serious?
Not yet, and that is the point of it telling you. Descaled promptly it is a maintenance job. Ignored for a year it takes the heat pump with it, and that is the most expensive part in the machine.
