01
One burner or all of them
One is the burner: cap, ports, electrode. All of them is upstream: the module, the supply or the wiring. It takes a second to establish and it decides everything after it.
-
02
Cap and ports, cold
A cap a millimeter out of position stops a burner catching, and a boil-over blocks the ports. Both are free to fix and both are worth checking yourself before you call.
-
03
The spark and the flame
Electrode condition, the spark itself, and then how the flame sits — a yellow or lifting flame is telling you something about air or pressure rather than about the igniter.

04
Every burner, lit and held
Including on low, which is where a marginal burner gives itself away.

Induction · gas · electric · 24"–36" Bosch cooktop repair in Miami
Induction, gas and radiant electric cooktops, plus the professional rangetops. Most of what an induction top does when something is wrong is protect itself — it switches a zone off, shows a code and waits — and telling that apart from a failure saves a great many visits.
- A zone switching itself off mid-cook
- Controls locked or unresponsive
- Codes about supply voltage
-
Gas · dual-fuel · electric · induction Bosch range repair in Miami
Slide-in and free-standing ranges in all four fuel configurations. A range is two appliances in one chassis — a cooktop and an oven that share a control board — and knowing which half is misbehaving is most of the diagnosis.
- Burners that will not light or hold
- Oven not reaching temperature
- Display codes that cover both halves

About Bosch gas burner & igniter repair
The fastest diagnosis on the site
One burner misbehaving is that burner — the cap, the ports, the electrode. All of them at once is upstream, at the ignition module or the supply. Establishing which takes a few seconds and it removes most of the possibilities.
What you can do before calling
With the burners off and cold: lift the cap, check it sits flat and square in its recess, and look at the ports for anything baked into them. A boil-over that dried into the ports is the most common cause of a burner that lights unevenly, and clearing it costs nothing.
The flame is the instrument
A blue flame sitting on the burner is right. Yellow, lazy or lifting away from the ports means air, pressure or a partially blocked burner, and it is worth acting on — not because it is dangerous today, but because it is the cheapest moment to fix it.

Questions about bosch gas burner & igniter repair
It clicks but will not light.
Check the cap is seated squarely and the ports are clear, cold, with the gas off. That is most of them. If the click sounds weak or comes from the wrong place, it is the electrode.
All the burners click when I light one.
Normal on many of these — one module sparks every electrode. What is not normal is clicking that continues after the burner has lit, which usually means a wet or dirty electrode.
My gas oven takes ages to light and sometimes does not.
That is the classic slow death of a gas oven igniter: it weakens over months, opens the valve later and later, and eventually not at all. It is a known part and a predictable repair.
